To allow oneself to be carried by the mob, to be swept away by blind fate.” here he talks about how simple it was to die back then. One simple mistake during the holocaust can cost you your life. Anne Frank

Anne Frank was a teenage girl who went into hiding during the Holocaust. Anne’s parents were Edith and Otto Frank and they were completely different. Her father treated her very well, while her mother always argued with her. Due to that she spends most of the day with her diary that she named “Kitty.” She always writes down her emotions in her diary, so that she could feel less stress. She got her diary on her 13th birthday and it was red checkered. Kitty became Anne’s friend in the book. Anne also has a sister that is named Margot. She went into hiding for 2 long years at the Annex. She went to the Auschwitz camp and was separated from her dad. She died a year later at the Bergen-Belsen camp in Germany, where she got typhus. Typhus is an infectious disease where you get headaches and have fevers, which is characterized by a purple rash. On page 126-127 at the bottom it stated “The only thing to do is to pray that God will perform a miracle and save some of them.” This quote means that she is caring for others and not just caring for herself. She wants her friends and others to just be ok. This prayer was answered and some of the people in the Holocaust survived. In conclusion, Anne Frank was a girl who wrote in her diary a lot and spent days mad at her mother.

Otto Frank

Otto Frank was a caring, loving, abd smart man. Mr. Frank is a Jewish man who endured and survived the Holocaust. He got married to his wife Edith Frank at the age of 36. They ended up having two children, Anne and Margot Frank. His family and himself moved to Holland in 1933. Otto loved his family and cared about them a lot. As Hitler rose to power, Mr. Frank thought of the idea to go into hiding. Before his family went into hiding, he worked as a Managing Director of Travies N.V. However, Mr. Frank sold his company to Mr. Koophuis, a person who worked for him. He did this to protect himself and his family from the Nazis. Along with hiding, Mr. Frank had workers who helped him while he was hiding. His workers were Mr. Kraler, Mr. Koophuis, Miep, and Elli Vosen. These people helped protect the people at the Annex and supplied the people with food. During hiding, Mr. Frank did his best to make his children feel comfortable at The Secret Annex. For instance, he supplied Anne with educational items, such as books. Mr. Frank has a very close relationship with Anne, and cares about her a lot. In the diary, Anne states, "I told Daddy that I'm much more fond of him than Mummy..." This shows how Anne feels about her father and how Otto had a strong relationship with his daughter, Anne. Mr. Frank and his family ended up getting caught during hiding, and were taken to a camp. Sadly, Mr. Frank was the only member in his family to survive the Holocaust. After the Holocaust, he ended up publishing Anne's diary in 1947.
